Packing Design & Packing Operations
Tailored packing solutions that provide a positive impact
We tailor our packing solutions and operations based on our customers’ unique requirements, while keeping in mind the total end-to-end delivery process. We work with our customers to create packing designs that minimize overall supply chain costs, but that do not impact the quality of the packing. We have years of experience in India with packing designs for over-dimensional cargo that have been delivered to local destinations or exported to other countries. We are familiar with ISPM-15 and only utilize certified heat-treated materials for overseas destinations.
Transportation
Transportation arranged and managed to ensure an on-time delivery
We arrange and manage transportation for our customers to ensure their delivery lead-times are met. We have a vast network of authorized local and international logistics providers that we can rely upon depending on the destination of the cargo. We maintain a close relationship with multiple trucking companies and can even cater to special requirements for over-dimensional cargo, including equipment like cranes and low-bed trailers. We use our local partners in combination with SBS Group’s overseas subsidiaries to ensure our international shipments are handled with the utmost care and are delivered smoothly. Many of our local customers appreciate the “one face” to a network of providers and find that a one-stop logistics solution is much more efficient for them.
Warehousing
Storage and management to extend your capabilities
We cater warehousing to our customers’ requirements and provide input into finding the right warehousing solution. We have done various solutions to meet customer requests, including simply leasing space to total inventory and distribution management on their behalf. We have experience with foreign trade warehouse zone (FTWZ) operations and all the related customs clearances.
Beyond typical warehousing solutions, we even provide inventory and storage management services within our customers’ facilities. This entails working “on-behalf” of our customer, and we manage the inventory to feed the manufacturing line based on production plans. These line feeding activities require close interaction and coordination with our customers, but allows them to focus on their “core” processes.
Import & Export Customs Clearance
Preparation to avoid potential customs clearance issues
We cater services related to customs clearance through our developed network of licensed customs brokers. We handle the import and export of cargo by both air and ocean through all the major ports in India. Upon request, we can provide additional services like Duty Drawback Claims assistance, IGST, refunds, Special Valuation Branches (SVBs), and consultation. The customs landscape can be daunting, so let us help guide you through it.
CFS Stuffing & Supervision
Sometimes the largest risk is what you can’t see
Without Indian Customs registration and certification, your overseas inbound/outbound cargo will pass through a Container Freight Station (CFS) before delivery. The CFS people handling your important cargo don’t know you or necessarily care about your product like you do. We offer CFS stuffing and supervision services as a method to help guard against rough handling, improper tie downs, and other potential risks created by unknown third-party handlers. The CFS being utilized in the import/export of your cargo is defined by the ocean/air carrier and their contracts, which the cargo owner has no control over. With our stuffing and supervision service, we directly interact with the CFS on your cargo and watch/record as the work is conducted, ensuring additional care is taken with your cargo.
